How the Moov MP2AI Smart Pool Pump Works

The Moov MP2AI is the pump behind AquaLit’s featured package — 2.0 THP inverter pump plus professional installation, $2,199 installed under standard conditions. Here is what it actually does.
Auto-Inverter mode
The headline feature. You configure the flow rate your pool needs; the pump detects system pressure and adjusts motor speed to reach it. As your filter loads and resistance climbs, the pump raises speed rather than quietly moving less water.
Self-learning
The MP2AI runs a routine that works out the usable hydraulic range for your particular pool. You can configure how often it repeats, so the pump stays calibrated as the plumbing, filter and equipment change over time.
Pressure-change detection
Sitting behind the above: the pump notices when conditions shift rather than assuming the pool it was commissioned on is the pool it is running today.

Which of those actually matter
In our experience: Auto-Inverter mode, real-time power display, and RS-485. The first changes how the pool performs, the second is the only way most owners ever see what their pump costs to run, and the third is what stops this purchase becoming a problem when you add a controller later.
Skimming and backwash modes are genuinely convenient. Timers are table stakes.

Is AquaLit a Moov dealer?
No — and we are deliberate about this. AquaLit designs automation around your pool, your goals, your existing equipment and your budget. Moov is our preferred value path because the price point, the inverter behaviour and the connectivity are genuinely strong at this level. If your pad is Pentair-dominant or Jandy-dominant, we will build around that instead.
AquaLit’s recommendation
Ask for the flow target to be set for your pool, not left at a default, and ask to see the real-time power figure during commissioning. Those two things are the difference between owning a smart pump and owning a pump that happens to have an app.
