Jandy Automation

AquaLink, configured to actually do what it can do — including the one-touch macros most owners never had set up.

Short answer

Jandy AquaLink is a manufacturer automation platform covering filtration, sanitation, cleaning, lighting, water features, valves and pool and spa temperatures, with one-touch macros for common scenes. It is the right choice when a property is already Jandy-heavy, or when the owner specifically wants Jandy.

Where replacing a working Jandy architecture creates no meaningful benefit, we work within it. That is usually the cheaper and better outcome.

What it covers

What AquaLink controls

  • Filtration and pump scheduling
  • Sanitation, including salt systems
  • Cleaner circuits
  • Lighting, including colour lighting and scenes
  • Water features — spillovers, deck jets, bubblers
  • Valve actuators for pool and spa switching
  • Pool and spa temperatures, managed remotely
  • One-touch macros that sequence several of the above

The most common thing we find

A capable AquaLink system that was installed years ago and never properly configured. No macros, valves labelled by circuit number rather than by what they do, schedules left at factory defaults, and an owner who assumed the system simply could not do more.

Reconfiguring an existing AquaLink is frequently the highest-value automation work available on a pool, and it costs a fraction of new hardware.

Fit check

Keep Jandy, or change?

Stay with Jandy when

  • Your pump, heater, valves or salt cell are already Jandy
  • The existing system works and simply needs configuring
  • You want one-touch spa and party scenes and have the hardware for them
  • Local parts and service support for Jandy is good

Consider changing when

  • The controller genuinely cannot reach equipment you want to add
  • The pad has drifted to three or more brands over the years
  • Hardware is obsolete and parts are no longer practical to obtain
  • You are rebuilding the equipment pad anyway
Questions

Jandy automation FAQ

Some devices, yes — through supported connections or via relays and dry contacts. As with any manufacturer platform, native control of its own equipment is the strongest, and third-party support varies device by device.

Yes. AquaLink supports one-touch macros that reposition valves, adjust the pump, start heating and set lighting in sequence. If your system has valve actuators and a heater on it, the capability is very likely already there and simply not configured.

Often, yes. If it controls what you own, parts are obtainable and it does not block your plans, keeping it is money saved. We will tell you honestly when it has reached the end of that.

Yes, and we do that regularly — relabelling circuits, building macros, fixing schedules and getting features commissioned that were never finished.

AquaLit's recommendation

Before quoting anyone on a new controller for a Jandy pad, we look at what the existing system can already do. More often than not, a configuration visit delivers most of the benefit for a small fraction of the cost.

If it turns out the hardware genuinely limits you, we will say so and show you exactly which capability you are missing — not simply recommend replacement as a default.

  • Jandy-heavy pad — work within AquaLink
  • Never-configured system — reconfigure before replacing
  • Genuinely blocked by the hardware — then, and only then, discuss replacing it

Let's talk about your pool

Call or text for a free pool assessment. We look at the pool, the equipment already on your pad and how you actually use the backyard — then tell you what is worth doing and what is not.

Tell us what you have and how you use the pool. We'll walk the equipment pad, ask what you ultimately want controlled, and give you an honest recommendation — including the upgrades we'd skip.
